Training for Schools

Sarah has delivered training courses, network and cluster events and conferences for schools. She has also helped schools improve their teaching and learning in drama as an inspector, by lesson observations, report writing, action planning and feedback. 

Sarah is an experienced and enthusiastic trainer. She delivers a variety of training - INSET days, twilights, planning session sand team teaching to model key drama strategies. All events are adapted to suit your needs.

Sarah has delivered training to secondary NQTs. She has written and shared drama resources to inform and challenge drama education, such as Drama News (a biannual publication sharing latest developments, ideas for the subject, and celebrating and promoting good practice) and the drama subject information on the Hampshire intranet, sharing resources, the latest initiatives and news. She also co-wrote the Hampshire Primary Drama Handbook.

Sarah Reid provides high quality reasonably priced full day INSET training for single schools, clusters of schools and network groups.
Training events are for teachers and LSAs and are suitable for up to 30 delegates. Training takes place over a series of visits.


Maximum length of 90 Minutes
Up to 30 delegates from the same school.
Two or more must be booked in advance.

Half day training events

Half day training events 1-5pm as part of a package of training.

The afternoon is spent discussing how to use drama, explain what it is and how it might be used across the curriculum and looking at ways to build it into planning. 

The twilight can be for whole staff and includes a presentation, discussion and practical workshop modelling key drama skills and strategies.
